Recognize this?

Yes, dear friends and family, that is a translation of "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" into German. I was hoping they'd have combined the last seven words into one really awesome long one (since they seem to combine everything else), but sadly,they just used one little short word.

And I thought my day was going to turn out something like that, given how it began... but thankfully, everything's been much better since I left my apartment this morning. However, the first bit was not so good. I overslept thirty minutes, finally dragged myself to the shower, and realized after I finished (when I was still soaking wet) that I'd forgotten my towel. So I air-dried for about five minutes and finally just pulled on my pajamas again, since I didn't want to get my clean clothes wet. After that I tried to dry my hair, and my hairdryer and converter got into a fight and the converter won. And then I tried to make oatmeal, and didn't cook it long enough, so it was all soupy and gross. I put it back in, and it decided to explode all over the microwave. Whereupon I discovered that I hadn't thought to buy a dish towel (we each use our own, and people don't use paper towels here), so I had to use my bath towel to clean up the mess. I finally sat down to eat my oatmeal, but it was still too hot, and due to my oversleeping I had to leave so I wouldn't be late for class - so no breakfast :-(

Thankfully, however, everything's been quite good since then! Class went well, and I'm off to find a sketchbook :-)
